The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is a worldwide dance organisation which sets the standard for exams in classical ballet and teacher training. The RAD was founded in the UK in the 1920s and is now present in 83 countries globally.
The RAD offers a wide range of examinations and assessments with an aim to motivate and reward students of all ages and ability. The exams are listed on the UK’s Educational framework, therefore allowing students to collect UCAS points for their examinations taken.
The RAD’s focus is on creativity, technique and musicality. The syllabus classes follow a progression with (optional) assessments at all levels. The students will be introduced to classical ballet, free movement and character dancing within the Grade 1-8 syllabus classes.
Pre-Primary (Age 5+) for the reception age student
Primary (Age 6+) for year 1/2 students
